Group Classes

Periodically, our shop offers a 3 session Long Arm Quilting class conducted by Dea Crandall, the Florida Sales Rep for American Professional Quilting System (APQS). This class covers the basics of utilizing a longarm machine; ie. Identifying all parts of the machine, specific maintenance processes, batting differences and uses, thread differences and uses, Loading the quilt top, backing, and batting, complete explaination of the Stitch Regulator and it's use with the quilting machine, explanation of pantographs, free style, and custom patterns.

Advanced Class: $50.00

One-on-One Classes

Nana offers a One-on-one training class for her LongArm machine. This class is for instruction on the APQS LongArm machine in house. Your class will begin at 10 A.M. and last ALL day, until closing. Nana will walk you through the basics of the machines operation and then each aspect of quilting: Meandering/Stippling, pantographs, free-style, etc. This class is 6-7 hours of hands on training utilizing your hands. Just call the shop to set up a class.
Currently, Nana provides you with material for the top, back and the batting for this instruction. You provide the hands and labor (of love). After this class, you will be well on your way to rent the LongArm machine ($10/ hour) and quilting your own tops. YOu will never be left on your own at our shop, we will always be there for questions, help, and guidance.
