August Class Descriptions
Begin Quilting
August 8, 15, and 22 1230pm - 430pm
Confidence building piecing skills will be emphasized in this technique and design oriented class.
We will practice at least 6 different blocks, including the snowball, 4 patch, 9 patch, rail fence,
1/4 and 1/2 square triangles. You will know how to patch points with ease. Starting with the
Perfect 1/4" seam, pressing tricks, rotary cutting the right way, tools and safety, Dianne teaches you
how to make a quilt from beginning to end. Whether you need to fine tune your skills or start from
scratch, you will be glad you completed this jam-packed class.

has 3 different block sizes so you can choose the one that is right for you. This is a very easy

easy table runner. You will use strips to make your courthouse step blocks and then accented
them with stars. Wouldn't this look great on your table????

Free motion quilting has come a long way. In this class, Dianne
will teach you many ways to mark and stitch your quilts for the home machine. Battings will be discussed
and how to choose patterns will enable you to know what design is right for different quilt types. You
have plenty of time to practice different patterns and methods through out the day.

This project can be made in one afternoon
using the strip and flip method. Turns out great using any fabrics you like. Makes a fast gift.
